Jill: What are you watching?

Lill: I’m split screening Pride and Prejudice with Lost In Austen.

Jill: Why?

Lill: I’m lining up the ‘wet shirt’ scenes in each.

Jill: *Raises eyebrow*

Lill: *Cough* It’s a purely scientific endeavour I assure you – I’m conducting a comparative analysis.

Jill: And what are your findings?

Lill: Cowan-Darcy gets full marks for his shirt cling, epic shoulders and smouldering gaze, while Firth-Darcy wins for his unbearable handsomeness and charm in being caught informally dressed…and for being Colin Firth.

Jill: So who’s the winner then?

Lill: *Sigh* Still undecided…I think I need to rewatch the scenes.

Jill: A second look certainly won’t hurt.

Lill: Neither will a 48th…

About Lill and Jill

We are Lillian and Jillian; best friends and roommates. We blog to capture the seemingly trivial moments of thought and expression that make us smile; the often-times ridiculous way we see the world and how we live in it. We ask that you think well of us despite our propensity for drinking saccharine-laden alcoholic beverages, affection for 90â€ēs boy-bands, and regular inappropriateness.

Sounds like an experiment I might have to replicate. 😀

The sacrifices I make for science…

    • 😀 Yes do! Then we can compare our findings – how legitimate can our research really be if it isn’t peer-reviewed? You simply MUST – the sacrifice will be worth it! …J

Why stop at 48? I have worn out two videos on The Three Musketeers where Michael York appears in his unbuttoned shirt. Sigh. Now I’m trying to wear out the DVD.
