Lill: Ugh, I’m sooo exhausted – even the pot of coffee I just downed isn’t helping this unbearable fatigue.

Jill: Why, what did you do this weekend?

Lill: *Yawn* Some reading, some movies, a bit of snacking and a nap or two.

Jill: *Raises eyebrow* Wow, sounds like you really pushed yourself.

Lill: I know – I need to stop being such a weekend high-achiever.

Jill: Wouldn’t want to burn out now.

Lill: *Gasp* You’re right! Maybe I should take a vacation…

About Lill and Jill

We are Lillian and Jillian; best friends and roommates. We blog to capture the seemingly trivial moments of thought and expression that make us smile; the often-times ridiculous way we see the world and how we live in it. We ask that you think well of us despite our propensity for drinking saccharine-laden alcoholic beverages, affection for 90′s boy-bands, and regular inappropriateness.

  1. Yes! After a quiet weekend you should be able to start the week at a reduced pace too. Start slowly and taper off..

    • Yes! I’m with you completely on this – beginning with a reduced pace that slowly tapers off is exactly what I’m going to put in my next six-month performance review regarding approach to new tasks and deliverables 😀 …L
