Lill: I’m taking a mental health day.

Jill: *Raises eyebrow* But it’s not Tuesday.

Lill: *Sigh* I know –  I had to attend a team building workshop yesterday and I’m exhausted from the forced extroversion and socialization.

Jill: That bad eh?

Lill: *Shudder* Ugh, ‘Sharing, Innovation and Collaboration’  were the workshop themes…it’s no wonder I’m suffering from a mental yeast infection today.

Jill: Well I’m glad you participated – I’m sure your manager was pleased.

Lill:  Hmm…doubtful – the workshop wasn’t catered so I had to smuggle in my own vodka at lunch, and while I got full marks for innovation I failed to meet my share target. They’re making me do another session next month.

Jill: I guess there’s a lesson in all of this.

Lill: Yeah, never underestimate the strategic advantages of pre-drinking.

About Lill and Jill

We are Lillian and Jillian; best friends and roommates. We blog to capture the seemingly trivial moments of thought and expression that make us smile; the often-times ridiculous way we see the world and how we live in it. We ask that you think well of us despite our propensity for drinking saccharine-laden alcoholic beverages, affection for 90′s boy-bands, and regular inappropriateness.

    Lill and Jill,
Behind the funsies of your post there was a great message that gave awareness to last week’s mental health day. And for it, I thank you.
