Lill: Why are you giving yourself a pedicure? I thought you had an appointment to get one done professionally?

Jill: I do, but you can hardly expect me to go in with calluses, corns, unfiled nails and no polish – what would the esthetician think?!

About Lill and Jill

We are Lillian and Jillian; best friends and roommates. We blog to capture the seemingly trivial moments of thought and expression that make us smile; the often-times ridiculous way we see the world and how we live in it. We ask that you think well of us despite our propensity for drinking saccharine-laden alcoholic beverages, affection for 90′s boy-bands, and regular inappropriateness.

I, too, am in agreement with Jill’s logic. I’ve been going to the same lovely lady for AGES and that’s because she is comfortable enough with me to call me out when I haven’t been practicing great upkeep on my eyebrows or my feet look like they’ve just walked across the desert. So now I’m just super self-conscious about going to anyone else, and I know how Jill feels when someone’s working on your pedicure and they give sideways glances and exchange giggles with another co-worker. 😦

I also do my hair before showing up for an appointment !

    • Based on the amount of frizz that I’ve been forced to tackle today I do understand – though all of Jill’s pre-pedi footwork STILL seems like a waste of time to me…but I ought not judge her neuroses too harshly – they’ve been my good pals for many moons now 😉 …L
